Small businesses, often have less than 2 partners/owners to make decisions/ Most of the time, the partners or owners in a small business all have the same type of experience. So chances are, 2 or 3 people with the same experience, are likely to have the same, or almost the same approach (especially if they get along well) to the same problem.
Why is business consulting built into the large businesses?
Large companies, on the other hand, have several executives, from all walks of life, with different educational background, different life experiences, different business experiences, and the list goes on. With such diversity, it is impossible to get the exact same idea from each and every member of the board of directors. The result? A variety of mostly valid points of view on the same subject matter which can be used to create a final idea using bits and pieces from the pool of ideas.
